The CBE Experience
The CBE experience is innovative, it's creative, it's personalized. Our proximity to the Twin Cities is a major bonus (16 Fortune 500 companies right at your fingertips!) and we’ve committed significant resources to fostering innovation, connections and economic growth locally, creating benefits for both students and alumni.
The College of Business and Economics is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). What’s this mean? It means you’re getting a top-notch education! The AACSB is the premier accrediting body for business schools that offer bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in business and accounting. It’s the only assurance available that all business programs are of the highest quality and are taught by highly qualified instructors. AACSB accreditation has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business schools.
A collaborative workshop designed for students to build models and minimum viable products to illustrate their ideas, the MakerSpace is available to anyone on campus. The space is an area to play, create, innovate and build and serves as a crucial resource for students in the college’s innovation courses and those participating in the Ideathon and Innovation Challenge.
Earn your MBA at UWRF! Our graduate programs provide flexible, affordable options in a wide variety of interest areas, all tailored to help you succeed.
Innovation isn’t just a buzzword to us, it’s one of our core pillars. Programs like the Innovation Challenge and Innovator in Residence Series, facilities like the CBE Makerspace and coursework built around developing and nurturing innovative thinking are all part of our commitment to developing the best and brightest thinkers.
Internships and professional experiences give you a serious leg up when it comes to your career prospects. We strongly encourage students to pursue internships and have dedicated resources to help.
We encourage you to get involved! CBE supports a variety of active student organizations that provide students with opportunities outside of the classroom. From the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society to our Women in Business organization, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved.
